Why Substack?

If you're used to reading my stuff on Medium—welcome!

I’ve heard from several people recently that they’ve not been able to read my posts on Medium, because the posts are categorised as ‘member only’.

It used to be that even non-paying Medium readers would be able to read my metered stories for free, depending on the number they’d already accessed that month, but apparently the rules have now changed. And although I’m always happy to send my email subscribers a direct link that circumvents the payment requirement, it’s an extra step for both of us.

So moving forward I’m going to be sharing more of my longer pieces on Substack, where I’ve set up my newsletter to be free for all.

Substack also has a more robust commenting and threading feature, so you’ll have a chance to take advantage of that to get coaching and see how other people are responding to prompts I share.
